We will be backpacking for seven days in the Wrangell Saint Elias National Park. A total of four days will be spent getting to and from our starting point. We have included several more days for site seeing. This park is 300 miles from Anchorage besides hiking we will be visiting old mining towns, hike over glaciers, go into an old ice cave and stay a night in an old mining cabin. You will have plenty of opportunities to see bears, bald eagles and other wildlife and this is a great place to get a suntan.
Trip package includes:
- All transportation from Anchorage Airport to the Wrangell Mountains and back; two nights in motels, going to and returning from hiking trip.
- All equipment (tents, sleeping bags, backpacks, rain gear, cook stoves)
- All food for seven days of backpacking
