Billy Dennis, owner and operator of Outback Guides, has been guiding wilderness trips since 1965. He has worked with many different diverse groups: youth, professional, private clients, senior citizens and Boy Scout and Girl Scout troops. Billy also conducts seminars on a variety of wilderness subjects to area schools, clubs, and even the Oklahoma State Forest Rangers.
Gray wolves of Yellowstone, bears of North America, environmental culture, Triangle Camping, LNT, and basics of hiking and camping are just some of the seminars that Billy conducts.
Billy has backpacking experience in just about every national part in the country and many state parks. Yellowstone, Grand Canyon, Grand Tetons, Rock Mountains, Alaska's Wrangell National Park, and Olympic National Park are just a few examples.
Billy also rents and sells backpacking equipment. Several of the major manufacturers of backpacking and hiking equipment consult with Billy on new designs and changes to their equipment.
Many of his satisfied clients have recommended Billy to others and have written numerous letters of appreciation thanking him for the good time they had on his guided wilderness trips.
Billy's wife, Marci, has been conducting seminars for the past twenty-five years on how to identify, prepare and survive on edible plants and the medicinal properties of wild plants and flowers. She participates in many of his guided trips.
